     Hina Jilani practises law at the Lahore High Court and the Supreme Court of Pakistan. She has been active for years in the struggle for human rights in Pakistan and abroad, gaining distinction especially in the movement for gender equality and defence of the rights of the child.

     A member of the executive boards of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, the AGHS Legal Aid Cell, and the AGHS Child Rights Cell since their inception, she has also been associated with several human rights organisations abroad and has contributed to a number of international and regional conferences and advocacy coalitions.
